Air pressure measurements with mini drifters

Four Marlin SVP-BT mini drifters equipped with modified barometric ports were deployed in the Black Sea in early July 2006. In comparison with last year experiment with similar buoys, the experiment of this year provided the optimistic enough results as for air pressure measurements. There were not spikes of air pressure when strong wind took place. To make sure that mini drifters ensure reliable air pressure measurements new mini buoys should be deployed in the World Ocean.
